Who each is for
VeraDial is for owners who want a business line with an AI receptionist and a set number of AI minutes in the price. Vera Lite is $14.99 a month with 100 AI minutes, Plus is $29.99 with 300 and Google Calendar booking, and Business is $59.99 with 3 lines. It has iPhone and Android apps and a web console, connects to Google Calendar, Zapier and Make, offers US and Canadian numbers, and can transfer eligible numbers in.
2Line.AI is a similar idea with a different shape. Mia uses credits only while she talks, so you don’t choose a minutes tier, and she books inside your hours, with bookings synced to your iPhone Calendar. Around the call, 2Line.AI adds quotes from your prices that customers accept by replying YES, reminders with C/R replies, review requests and On my way texts.
What a typical day looks like with each
With VeraDial
A house cleaner on Vera Plus has 300 AI minutes a month. Vera answers calls and texts, books cleanings into Google Calendar, and leaves a transcript and summary of every call. In a busy month, the owner watches the minutes.
With 2Line.AI
A house cleaner on 2Line.AI gets a call while mopping. Mia asks the address, the home size and whether it’s one-time or regular, books the clean inside your hours and texts a quote from the prices you set; the customer replies YES to accept. A reminder goes out before the visit. On cleaning day you tap On my way, and afterwards, a review request.
Choose 2Line.AI if
- You want quotes from your prices, reminders with C/R replies, review requests and On my way texts
- You want to pay only for the minutes the receptionist talks
VeraDial may fit better if
- You want a set number of AI minutes included at a low monthly price
- You want to bring your existing number, or need a Canadian number
- You use Google Calendar or Zapier
Switching from VeraDial to 2Line.AI
- Pick a new local number in 2Line.AI from the area codes near you. Porting isn’t supported, so this is a new number, not your VeraDial number moved over.
- Set your business name, hours and caller ID name (up to 15 characters). Teach Mia from your business name or website, then call the new number from another phone to test her.
- Keep VeraDial running while you switch, so anyone who still has the old number reaches you. A month or two of overlap is a sensible minimum.
- Tell your customers. Text your regulars from the new number, and change the old number’s voicemail greeting to give the new one.
- Update your Google Business Profile (Edit profile, then Contact, then Phone number), then your website, Apple Maps, Yelp, Facebook, cards and truck.
- When calls to the old number have slowed to a trickle, cancel VeraDial.
If you transferred your number into VeraDial, keep VeraDial active during the overlap. 2Line.AI can’t take that number, so customers need time to learn the new one. Step-by-step help for Google is in our guide to changing your Google Business Profile phone number.
What 2Line.AI doesn’t do
Worth knowing before you choose:
- No number porting. You get a new local US number; you can’t move an existing number in.
- No international numbers or calling. Numbers are US only, for calling and texting US numbers.
- No CRM, Google Calendar or Zapier integrations. Bookings sync to your iPhone Calendar, and leads and slips live in the app.
- Calls, texts and Mia aren’t bundled into the plan; they use credits. At zero credits they pause until you add more, and your number stays yours.
- No shared team inbox or per-user seats. Each account has one owner, with as many lines as you need.
