Record calls, get the transcript and the summary
2Line.AI can record calls on your second number. Tap Record during a call and everyone on it hears “This call is now being recorded.” Each recording comes with a transcript and an AI summary, and you can trim, share or search it later. Nothing is recorded until you tap Record.

What you get
On a busy call you agree on prices, dates and details you'll need later. Notes on scraps of paper get lost, and memory blurs who said what.
A recording with a transcript and a short summary settles it. You read the call in a minute, find the part you need and share just that part if someone asks.
Off until you tap Record
Start recording on any call. Everyone on the call hears that it's being recorded.
Transcript and summary
Read the call instead of replaying it. The summary gives the next step.
Edit and share
Cut a section or trim to the part you need, preview it, then share it.
Clear pricing
Recording adds 7 credits a minute to the call, including the transcript.
How call recording works
- 1Tap Record on a callThe app asks you to confirm and tells you what it adds to the call.
- 2Everyone hears the notice“This call is now being recorded.” plays to both sides, so nobody is recorded without knowing.
- 3Talk as usualRecording adds 7 credits a minute on top of the call, transcript included.
- 4Read it after the callThe recording, transcript and AI summary are on the call and in Recordings, next to your voicemails.
- 5Edit, share or deleteDrag across the waveform, then Cut or Trim. Undo any step and preview before you save. Share it or delete it any time.
A recorded call, summed up
A made-up call between a contractor and a customer.
“This call is now being recorded. … So the tile is on me, and you bring the grout and everything else? … Right. And Monday at eight works? … Monday at eight. I'll text the quote over this afternoon.”
Who call recording helps most
Contractors
Record the scope call, so the quote matches what the customer asked for.

What it costs
Say you record 8 calls in a month, about 10 minutes each. That’s 1,208 credits. The cheapest way to cover it is two 150-credit packs ($4.99 each) and one 950-credit pack ($19.99), $29.97 in all, on top of your plan. Your real use will differ.
| The calls, 8 × 10 minutes | 8 × 80 = 640 credits |
|---|---|
| Recording on those 80 minutes | 7 × 80 = 560 credits |
| AI summaries | 1 × 8 = 8 credits |
| Total | 1,208 credits, covered by $29.97 in packs |
If a transcript can't be made, recording is charged at 2 credits a minute instead of 7. Plans are $19.99 a month or $99.99 a year with a 3-day free trial, and start with 100 credits, once. Credits don’t refill each month; packs start at $4.99. See all rates.
Get more out of call recording
- Check the rules where you and the caller are. Some states need everyone's consent. Our guide explains it.
- Say it out loud too: “I'm recording so I get the details right.” People relax when they hear why.
- Record the calls where decisions happen, like scope, price and dates, not every call.
- Trim before you share, so the other person only gets the part that matters.
- Search transcripts for a word like an address or a price instead of replaying the call.
- Delete recordings you no longer need.
