A second phone number on the phone you already have
2Line.AI gives you a second US phone number that rings in its own app on your iPhone or Android phone. You pick a local number in about a minute, call and text from it over Wi-Fi or mobile data, and Mia by 2Line.AI, an AI receptionist, answers the calls you miss.

What you get
Most people want a second number for the same reasons. They want to keep their personal number private, look like a real business, and stop work calls from landing in the middle of family dinner. A second SIM or a second phone can do that, but it means another carrier plan or another device to carry and charge.
2Line.AI puts the second number in an app instead. It rings with the normal call screen, texts from its own inbox, and has its own voicemail and its own receptionist. Your personal number doesn't change, and nobody sees it unless you give it out.
A real local number
Pick from four numbers at a time, mixed across the area codes near you. It's yours as long as your plan is active.
No second SIM, no second phone
Calls ring through the app with the normal iPhone or Android call screen, so you can answer from the lock screen.
Keeps your personal number private
Give customers, buyers and listings the 2Line number. Your own number stays with family and friends.
More than one line when you need it
Add a line for towing, a side gig or a second shop. Each has its own label, greeting, hours and Mia settings.
How your second number works
- 1Pick a number near youType your city or area code. The app shows four numbers at a time, each from a different area code nearby. If your area has fewer than four codes, numbers from the same state fill in.
- 2Hold it and start your planThe number is held for you while you choose monthly or yearly. Yearly comes with 3 days free. Every plan starts with 100 credits, once.
- 3Sign in and turn on notificationsSign in with Apple on iPhone or Google on Android, so your number is tied to you. Notifications let calls ring like normal calls, even when the app is closed.
- 4Teach Mia, or skip it for nowType your business name or website and Mia drafts a greeting for you to check. You can also use the number for calls and texts only, and set her up later.
- 5Share the numberPut it on your website, cards, listings and Google Business Profile. You can also call and text from it in the web app at 2line.ai/app.

2Line.AI for photographersSettings you control
| Label and color | Name the line (for example “Studio”) and give it a color, so you always know which number a call came in on. |
|---|---|
| Caller ID name | Up to 15 characters, shown when you call people on phones that display caller names. |
| When Mia answers | Always, only after hours, only when you don't pick up, or off. Switch it from the app, a widget or Siri. |
| Business hours and time zone | Set once. The time zone comes from your phone the first time, then only you can change it, so travelling doesn't move your hours. |
| Quiet hours | Keeps notifications quiet at night. Mia keeps answering, and slips wait for you in the morning. |
What it costs
Say you use the number for 20 calls a month, about 3 minutes each, and swap 40 texts each way. That’s 1,080 credits. The cheapest way to cover it is one 150-credit pack ($4.99) and one 950-credit pack ($19.99), $24.98 in all, on top of your plan. Your real use will differ.
| 20 calls × 3 minutes | 8 × 60 = 480 credits |
|---|---|
| 40 texts sent | 8 × 40 = 320 credits |
| 40 texts received | 7 × 40 = 280 credits |
| Missed calls and ring time | Free |
| Total | 1,080 credits, covered by $24.98 in packs |
Plans are $19.99 a month or $99.99 a year with a 3-day free trial, and start with 100 credits, once. Credits don’t refill each month; packs start at $4.99. See all rates.
Get more out of your second number
- Change the number everywhere on the same day: website, Google Business Profile, cards, email signature and the truck. Two numbers floating around confuses callers.
- Pick an area code your customers know. A local code looks familiar on their screen.
- Set a caller ID name, so a customer who missed you can see who called.
- Make a test call from another phone before you share the number, so you hear what callers hear.
- Record your own voicemail greeting or put Mia on duty, so callers hear your business name on the first ring they miss.
- Use quiet hours if work calls used to follow you home. Mia still answers.
